This workshop is for both:
• Curious beginners looking to start their home fermenting journey, and
• Experienced fermenters seeking creative ideas and an opportunity to exchange with fellow fermentation enthusiasts.
What you'll get:
Tasting of different sauerkrauts, from traditional to unusual, creative and spicey!
All the equipment and veggies you need to make a jar of your own chosen sauerkraut variation.
A handout with detailed step-by-step instructions for making sauerkraut, plus different recipes.
A tasting of different „sauerkraut snacks“ inspired by food from around the world to showcase creative ways we can cook with this versatile ferment.
Refreshments including tea, coffee, water and a seasonal home fermented beverage.
What you'll take home:
Your own jar of sauerkraut which will ferment into a probiotic-packed flavour bomb on your kitchen counter.
Confidence and knowledge to start making your own sauerkraut at home, with the jars - a wide mouth 1 litre jar and „follower“ jar - to do this!
What else you should know:
The main workshop language is English but Jem is fluent in German and is happy to explain steps and answer questions in German.
We take off our shoes to enter this Japanese-inspired studio. Slippers are available but please feel free to bring your own too.
